Micro / Mobile Content Strategy

There is a huge and unprecedented opportunity to combine  two trends in digital content to broaden and scale our potential audience.

With 5.9 billion mobile-cellular subscriptions worldwide, global penetration has reached 87%, and 79% in the developing world. Anyone with a smart phone (or tablet) can create and consume content – text, images, video – on the same device.

At the same time, social media is spurring the development of multiple open platforms for sharing “micro content” – small snippets of text, audio, video, images, etc. These represent a perfect format for transferring skills.  We can drastically lower production costs, index and reuse “skill bites”,  and share content creation with members of the target community.
